Gybe - (rhymes with bribe or tribe)  Protagonist of Molokai Reef and the series - Adventures of Gybe.  Sails a 41' sloop of indeterminate make.  In Molokai Reef, he discovers unwelcome guests snared in his anchor.

Mongoose - aka 'goose.  Abandoned at a food kitchen in Iwilei, 'goose grows up on the streets of Honolulu.  He sails the schooner Makani.

Andrea - operates her business from a Lagoon 41' catamaran.

Kara - founder of Oceans Now with the motto Raptus regaliter.

Flyn - longtime friend of Gybe.  Singlehands her 40-something sloop.
